About
Welcome to the e-learning world of Tim Blackburn. I’m not planning to set the world of e-learning alight with this site. It’s more something for me to log and take stock of what I’ve done over the last 12 months………
I work as an Instructor/Demonstrator at City College Manchester, in the UK. I manage a computer drop-in room (53 students PCs) and help the students with various problems to do with using IT in their studies.
However, more of my time is being taken over with e-learning. I’m becoming more of an e-learning adviser and developer, mainly for the college Learning Centres, but also for other departments. I’m a member of the team involved in innovation for the Learning Centres induction and I was responsible for developing interactive presentations and tutorials for subject inductions, based on other staff members’ Powerpoint slideshows.

Tim:
I edit a magazine titled “Elearning!” in the U.S. (see URL above). Every issue, we schedule an article titled “Last Word” — a short opinion article that we generally pick up from an e-learning blog.
Would you be willing to let us use “A is for Amazon” in our spring issue, which is due to be mailed at the end of March? You make some very valid points that are applicable here in the U.S. Please advise.
Thank you for your consideration.
